Baby boy born with snow-white hair dubbed “Prince Charming”

Pregnant women oftentimes speculate about the physical traits their children will inherit. Whether the baby will take after a relative, or simply shine with their individual allure, the real treasure is in their health and well-being.

Hailing from Székesfehérvár, Hungary, a precious newborn named Bence arrived in the world back in 2015 with a head full of pearly white hair; earning him the endearing nickname “Prince Charming” by his caregivers in the maternity ward. Although his unique hair color was enchanting, it raised concerns for his parents who sought an explanation for this unusual trait.

Medical professionals initially thought Bence might have albinism, a hereditary condition characterized by the reduced or total lack of pigment in the skin, hair, and eyes. However, extensive evaluations later confirmed that while Bence had low melanin levels, he did not have albinism, thereby causing his striking hair color.

Aside from his captivating snowy hair, Bence was absolutely a healthy infant. His doctors indicated that his hair color could darken over time, suggesting, “This slight pigment deficiency is probably localized and temporary, and we expect the boy’s hair to gain pigment as he ages.”

Once concerns were assuaged, Bence’s family was not prepared for the widespread adoration their “Prince Charming” would garner. The images of the precious child went viral, captivating millions with his cherubic appearance.

The enchanting tale of Bence can be viewed in the following video. Feel free to spread the cheer and share it with your companions.
