Kate Beckinsale Recalls How Keanu Reeves Saved Her From a Humiliating Situation in 1993
Kate Beckinsale recently revealed that her Cannes debut in 1993 could’ve ended in disaster if it wasn’t for her then-co-star and absolute superhuman, Keanu Reeves. This story of Keanu’s gallant act towards his female colleague once again reaffirms our infinite love for the famous actor, so let’s dive right in.

Over the last weekend of May, Kate Beckinsale attended the 76th Cannes Festival, which gave her instant flashbacks to the first time she attended the famous film festival. The Underworld star took to her Instagram to reveal a near-embarrassing moment that could’ve happened to her if her co-stars weren’t around.
In 1993, Beckinsale attended Cannes for the premiere of Much Ado About Nothing (1993). Her co-stars, Robert Sean Leonard and Keany Reeves, joined her on the red carpet. Kate shared in her Instagram post that at the time, she’d purchased her dress at an airport clothing store, and “when I got in the car to drive to the premiere with Denzel and Pauletta Washington, all the poppers in the crotch popped themselves open and it flipped up like a roller blind.”
The actress continued to explain that she was quietly panicking in the car, but when stepping out onto the red carpet, she told Keanu and Robert about what happened. She attached the photo to her story: “In this picture, I am holding the front gusset down, and the two of them are holding the back gusset.”
Beckinsale added that Keanu and Robert were “absolute legends” who “jumped in to save me, no questions asked.” If it wasn’t for the two of them, Kate could’ve suffered a disastrous wardrobe malfunction, so we’re delighted they were there to save her.
All celebrities love Keanu.

We checked, and it’s practically impossible to go over the complete list of celebrities with a lovely story to tell about the John Wick star. For example, Michael B. Jordan once shared that during their work on Hardball in 2001, Keanu took out the entire cast for dinner and introduced them to Laurence Fishburne.
In addition, Sandra Bullock once shared that she was once hanging out with Reeves and casually mentioned that she’s never had truffles. A few days later, Keanu showed up at her doorstep with delicious truffles because that’s the kind of guy he is.
And speaking of Sandra and Keanu, they’re one of those Hollywood couples that never became a reality, which saddens us to no limit. The reason for that is quite frustrating, but Bullock ultimately believes that not dating lets the two become great friends.
