Los Angeles Rams Coach Sean McVay Welcomes First Child with Special Name
Championing both a successful career and his new role as a father, Sean McVay of the Los Angeles Rams has recently celebrated the arrival of his newborn. Alongside his wife Veronika, the couple introduced their new baby boy to the world on October 24. The birth was fittingly broadcasted by the Rams organization in an endearing manner.

In conversation, McVay revealed the heartfelt significance behind their son’s name. He recalled the coincidental link to the date of his own grandfather’s passing. “It holds extra meaning since he was originally anticipated to enter the world on the same calendar day my grandfather departed just a year prior, October 31st,” he expressed.
The head coach didn’t shy away from expressing his spiritual side, acknowledging the profoundness of these aligned events.

John McVay, the name bearer and Sean’s granddad, is renowned for his tenure as an executive with the San Francisco 49ers. Inspired by their familial convictions, it seemed fitting for them to pay tribute through their son’s name.
The Rams coach proposed to Veronika in 2019, and they tied the knot in a June 2022 ceremony—a joyous occasion following closely on the heels of McVay’s professional triumph with the Rams at the Super Bowl.
