This is what Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, Brad and Angelina’s first biological child, looks like today

It’s not uncommon for Hollywood stars to find love on set, and sometimes, this love reshapes their lives profoundly. The legendary former duo of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, widely known as “Brangelina,” began their journey on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2004. Brad, at the time, was wed to the charming Jennifer Aniston. However, the dazzling allure of Angelina couldn’t escape Brad, and soon they were the talk of the town, ensnaring the title of one of the most iconic power couples globally.

“As fate would have it, the movie drew us together, leading to a whirlwind of unexpected adventures and, ultimately, a profound partnership and friendship that sprang up out of nowhere. I remember being excited to head to work every day, and anything we collaborated on was filled with this infectious joy. It just felt like we naturally clicked,” Jolie reminisced with People magazine in 2006.

For 12 years, Brad and Angelina raised a family that included Angelina’s three adopted children—Maddox, Zahara, and Pax—alongside their own three biological children: Shiloh and the twins, Vivienne and Knox.

Angelina’s expectancy set off a media storm with relentless coverage from paparazzi. The world eagerly awaited the birth of the baby, already a familiar figure in the realm of celebrity babies. Offers poured in from magazines, some willing to pay up to $1 million for the exclusive first photograph of the newborn.

“The arrival of this child has been the most anticipated since that of Jesus,” quipped New York Magazine at the time.

Born on May 27, 2006, the pictures of Shiloh amassed a staggering sum of $14 million, a generous contribution that the couple funneled to UNICEF.

“With the joyous arrival of our daughter comes a sobering reminder that every year, 2 million babies in the developing world don’t survive their first day. This tragedy is preventable, and we urge global leaders to step up to save these lives,” the couple announced solemnly.

At 14, Shiloh has been in the limelight for virtually her entire life.

Shiloh, inheriting the best of both celebrity parents, has grown into a stunning youth. Yet, her sartorial choices have stirred conversations amongst her fanbase. She has expressed the desire to be called by the name John, moving away from her birth name of Shiloh.

“She prefers the name John. It’s a phase aligned with Peter Pan, so we honor her wish and call her John,” Brad Pitt disclosed in a chat with Oprah. “When I say, ‘Shi, would you like some orange juice?’ she’ll correct me, ‘It’s John.’ It’s one of those charming things that parents find delightful while it might seem tiresome to others,” he shared with a laugh.

Angelina Jolie opened up about her daughter’s gender expression in a conversation with Vanity Fair, revealing, “She identifies more traditionally with boys, which has led us to cut her hair, and she opts for boys’ attire. She

She believes she’s just like her brothers.”

Neither Pitt nor Jolie object to their daughter’s decisions. They stand by her in all her life choices.

Jolie admits that initially, it was somewhat challenging to stop using the name Shiloh, as it held deep importance for her, yet she honors her daughter’s wishes.

“Shiloh Baptist was a name steeped in family history – it was almost given to the firstborn who, sadly, was lost to a miscarriage. My father was filming in Georgia, and it was the most authentically southern name they could imagine,” Jolie explained about the original name choice for her child.

Following their separation, the two actors have established a co-parenting setup that benefits the children, allowing them quality time with both mother and father. Both Pitt and Jolie are deeply committed to their children’s happiness and health.

“Brad admires Shiloh for the person she’s growing into, appreciating her authenticity and kindness to her siblings,” a source shared with ET, noting the close bond shared between father and child.

Jolie, hailed as a feminist icon, emphasized the value of young women during International Women’s Day with heartfelt words: “Having recently accompanied my oldest daughter [Zahara] through her surgeries, and just days ago, watching her younger sister [Shiloh] undergo hip surgery, my hope today is that we cherish our girls. Let’s nurture them, ensure their strength so they become healthier, and they’ll in turn enrich their family and the community at large.”

Of late, Shiloh has been seen alongside her mother and siblings on a stroll, garnering attention for what seemed to be a skirt she was wearing.

Observers have noted how the young girl is still exploring her personal identity and commend her parents for supporting her journey of self-discovery.
